Hi, I’m Britt.
I’m a farmer’s wife, mom of three, HR professional, lifelong learner, and the woman behind The Soul Miner Collective.
My real life is a bit of a contradiction, and I’ve learned that’s exactly how I like it.
By day, I’ve spent more than a decade building a career in Human Resources. My work has grown into the complicated, world of policy, compliance and helping organizations navigate the moments when work and real life collide. I genuinely love what I do, and I’m ambitious about my career, but I’ve also learned that my job is only one piece of who I am.
Outside of work, life is full.
I’m married to a farm (which means I often get called on to hold a wrench or go water our livestock), raising three kids, planning my next home project, or convincing myself that this new wellness routine is definitely the one that will change my life.
I love cozy homes, good books, photography, writing, wellness, learning new things, and creating a life that feels a little slower and more intentional, even when our schedule has other plans.
Faith is an important part of how I see the world. I’m continually learning what it means to trust God, grow into the woman He created me to be, and recognize that some of life’s most meaningful moments don’t necessarily look significant while we’re living them.
I’m fascinated by people and what makes us tick. I love conversations about careers and leadership just as much as conversations about motherhood, marriage, health, personal growth, faith, home, and the strange experience of realizing you’re still figuring yourself out as an adult.
And I’m a firm believer that women don’t have to fit neatly into one category.
We can be ambitious and crave a slower life.
We can care deeply about our careers and our families.
We can want to grow while still being grateful for where we are.
We can have big dreams and still find tremendous joy in coffee at home, a cozy evening, a good book, laughing with our kids, or an ordinary day with the people we love.
I’m glad you found my little corner of the internet.
Finding the sweet in the ordinary.
